Is it still being updated like the normal version? Or is it an ancient version that was archived?
It’s the latest version, but compiled against .Net Framework 4.0 (the main installer is for .Net Framework 4.8)
It only exists because it’s impossible to install >4.0 version of .Net Framework on WinXP (through regular means), and it’s hard to install a newer version of Windows on computers of many underfunded Russian schools, which are a considerable part of the user base.
But lately, those schools are converting to Linux (mostly Astra Linux), where instead of .Net you use Mono, so this WinXP version will hopefully soon disappear.
